Interactive forest scene winner of Nokia Ubimedia MindTrek Awards

The winner of Media technology competition Nokia Ubimedia MindTrek Awards was awarded in Tampere, Finland on October 7, 2010. The winner is my GreenSpace project by Kai Kasugai and Felix Heindrich from eHealth Group RWTH Aachen, Germany.

The interactive forest scene myGreenSpace brings the green of nature to elderly people who can hardly leave their home in urban environments. Personal and social data can be rendered into the virtual forest landscape as ambient information in a friendly and unobtrusive way. One strength of the project is its high commercial viability.

Due to Ari Jaaksi's very recent resignation from Nokia, we can confirm that he will not be speaking at MindTrek tomorrow.

However, we are very pleased to announce, that in his place, MindTrekkers will hear from an extremely insightful, highly experienced and knowledgeable speaker from Nokia, namely Olavi Toivainen, Director of Product Management.

A Maemo guru, Olavi has worked at Nokia since 1998 and is currently responsible for product management for the Nokia NSeries' group.
