Carbon footprints and handprints: Searching for the balance in the built environment
In order to reach carbon neutrality, we must minimise emissions and maximise sinks. The real challenge is to implement this within each of the society´s sectors, especially in the built environment. Nevertheless, new approach to commissioning, design, procurement, construction and maintenance of the built environment is required, so that the ambitious climate goals can be met. Therefore both footprints and handprints need to be considered.
