Jere works as a Legal Counsel at KPMG Finland. His main practice areas are technology law, including data protection law and intellectual property law, as well as competition law. Jere has experience in questions related to the use of data in e.g. data sharing platforms and to international cybersecurity law requirements. Jere has studied in both Finland and in Hong Kong, and he has also worked in the legal department of a multinational financial company in Hong Kong. Jere is interested in the use of data by different stakeholders in the society as well as how data is regulated in the context of competition law.

Emerging technologies in content creation and beyond – legal considerations
Emerging technologies have presented a variety of new solutions and methods for media creation, such as advanced back-office tools as well as algorithmic content personalized for each user. Adopting these technologies requires careful consideration from legal and ethical perspectives. This talk covers both further opportunities and potential pitfalls of such technologies from the legal point of view. We’ll also discuss the key regulation and requirements related to the use, repurposing and sharing of user data.
