Topic of speech
Shifting the market by Enabling Smart Demand by consumers for products to be “integrable” with enterprise systems in education settings
The Next Generation By Design (NGBD) Series is a growing international movement of innovators dedicated to deploying the next generation educational infrastructure to enable student success. This shared vision strives to remove integration barriers and places a high value on the integrability of applications and systems to enable choice.
Enabling Smart Demand is a key theme of the NGBD vision. This effort is focused on bridging the gap between practitioners and technology providers and amplifying the voice of the educational technology consumer community to promote the development of Next Generation software and systems. This will be exemplified by ecosystems of market choice through the development of software and enterprise systems that can truly plug together (integrable) in any educational enterprise. The goal is for learners, teachers, and educational organizations to choose applications and systems in support of educational and career goals and places a high priority on integrability.
This is an action-oriented session with participants involved in developing the Next Generation of solutions that Enable Smart Demand of products. Attendees of this Next Generation session will review the recently released Next Generation Integration Scorecard and be asked to contribute to the living document. Participants will be encouraged to participate in the collective discussion and development of a shared solution to move us forward. Examples of Next Generation education systems will also be shared with the participants.
