  • The use of maps has quickly shifted from printed paper maps to interactive map applications. This has made possible a whole host of new kind of uses for spatial information. Modern maps are dynamic, real-time and always up-to-date, thanks to spatial data infrastructures where data comes directly from its producer to the end-user. This talk will showcase some of the possibilities of modern maps and also some of the challenges posed by the newfound possibilities of online mapping.
