MindTrek Partner – Guiding the Journey to the Future

The MindTrek conference is a unique opportunity to reach digital media opinion leaders, experts, and enthusiasts from various fields: business, universities, government, and communities. As a MindTrek Partner you will gain media visibility, goodwill and credibility amongst the forerunners and trendsetters, the most influential agonists of digital revolution.

About MindTrek

The 12-year-old MindTrek is the leading Finnish digital media and business conference & competition, focusing on social media & Web 2.0 (nowadays - founded in 1997):
  • The 2007 conference gathered 600 attendees, 90 of them international guests and half of the speakers (30) from other countries than Finland.
  • The 2007 speakers included: Mark Ollila (Nokia), Eyjolfur Gudmundsson, (CCP Games), Teemu Kurppa (Jaiku), Jim Zemlin (Linux Foundation), Monty Widenius (MySQL), Rick Falkvinge (The Pirate Party), etc.
  • During the recent years there have been speakers like Chris DiBona (Google), Anssi Vanjoki (Nokia), Bob Sutor (IBM), Ashwin Navin (BitTorrent), Paula le Dieu (BBC, Creative Archive), and Florence Nibart-Devouard (Wikimedia Foundation)
  • The conference gathers people from different sectors: business, universities, government, and communities. Experts and enthusiasts – both amateurs and professionals – from various fields share their views and ideas in MindTrek.
  • MindTrek is more about people, business and society, than about technology (however, MindTrek is the place where culture, business, and tech meet...)
  • The Finnish open source community is well represented at MindTrek, partly because of the open source pre-conference workshop called "Openmind" on Tuesday, Oct 7. The workshop is organised in cooperation with COSS, the Finnish Centre for Open Source Solutions (members including Nokia, Novell, IBM, HP, Red Hat, etc. see: http://www.coss.fi).
  • The MindTrek Competition main prize is 20 000 €, last year total prize sum was 44 007 € in different categories

MindTrek is a journey where you will see the newest trends, innovations, revolutionary business phenomena and hear insights from the most high-spirited visionaries.
