DAMIEN MARCHI FremantleMedia
With
a background in digital media, broadcast television and marketing,
Damien Marchi is a cross-media specialist for media properties and
consumer brands.
At the time when the world was discovering
reality TV, Damien created and managed the interactive adaptation of
some of these talked-about shows: Big Brother and Star Academy
(France), Cruel Summer (UK), The Bar (Sweden)...
Keen to
continue investigating viewers’ involvement through interactivity,
Damien joined Streampower in Paris and developed and produced original
hybrid concepts meant to be made available either on the Web, in
specific locations (concert halls, stadiums, shops...) or, of course,
on television.
In 2006, for the co-production of CULT, a daily
live webcam-based hour-long talk-show broadcast on French national
television and on the Web, Damien received the International Emmy Award
for Best Interactive TV Programme. When Streampower joined the Havas
advertising group, Damien expanded his scope to 360 degrees branded
entertainment and brand co-funded productions. In January 2008, Damien
moved to London to become Senior Producer of FMX, FremantleMedia’s
global digital media division, where he develops and manages non-linear
entertainment formats.
"Social is The New Pink"
The
presentation will be about how Social Media are being handled by a
world leading TV production company, FremantleMedia. Through examples
of several projects currently live or in pre-production in various
territories, I will share views on how media consumption is evolving
and will map out the many uses of social and collaborative networks in
our global entertainment industry. But I will also stress the
importance of looking beyond short-term trends and buzz (hence the name
of the presentation).
