Topic of Speech: The Experience Age: “Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality”
We are in the early stages of a fundamental shift from 2D to 3D in computing. This shift, sometimes referred to as the “fourth wave of computing”, follows and builds upon the technology revolutions of the personal computer, the Internet, and mobile. As was the case with prior technological revolutions, this will transform the ways in which we work, live, and play. In his talk, Raven Zachary defines the unique characteristics of virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality, explores the market dynamics and industry players, and shares why he believes that 2018 will be the breakout year for this new wave of computing.
