MindTrek presents a selection of competitions with significant prizes and development opportunities for the most innovative and promising companies. This year we present three competitions - MindTrek LaunchPad, Nokia Ubimedia Mindtrek Awards and MindTrek Indie Games Awards.

MindTrek LaunchPad has a successful history and as our main competition category, it awards innovative new Finnish digital media products or demos – and the people behind it, who have the urge to make it big. The prize packages total 20 000 euros, in addition to internationalization and growth services provided by selected partners.

Nokia Ubimedia Awards is the 5th edition of the competition. It blurs the line between designers, computer scientists, artists, economists and engineers, and seeks to broaden our understanding of where and how ubiquitous media will influence our future life. We are looking for disruptive artistic visions as well as clever near-to-market solutions off the beaten track! The total award sum for the competition is 6 000 euros.

This year, our new competition category is for Finnish game companies! MindTrek Indie Games Awards is looking for indie game developers and companies creating the future success of Finnish games industry. The competition is organized in co-operation with Finnish Center of Games Industry Neogames and Game and Media Brand Investment Fund Mediatonic. The main prize will be a trip for two to San Francisco to Game Developer’s Conference in March 2012, and a chance to participate in negotiations for Mediatonic Funding of 30 000 - 500 000 euros.
