PERSONAL EU - YOUR OWN EUROPEAN UNION One person with same challenges from each EU country.

Summary / Yhteenveto:

The missing key application "Personal EU27 Team Finder" collects by one click a team consisting of one person from up to each country of the European union - for continuing 24/7 collaboration. The Finder uses a network's (eg European Network of Living Labs, Facebook, LinkedIn, Ovi, Messenger) open ID information (tag clouds, user defined, registration etc) to choose from each EU country that one person, whose challenge profile is most similar to yours. Creating the Finder is the first step to a coming "every citizen's own union" with a wide free open source interactivity toolbox.

Problem / Ongelma:

  • Need of EU understanding among citizens in Finland and all over the union and globally
  • Need of user/citizen-centric tools to develop personal daily life and challenges in EU-width (= our "enlarged home country")
  • Need of getting the minds of 500 million union citizens to utilize already existing union-wide resources (union-wide person teams, completing knowledge, common directives, common new standards, chance to establish union-wide person projects and businesses...)
  • Need of unforeseen European Recovery and citizen movement to avoid the "museum continent" trend
  • Need of a better European future

  • The Personal EU concept is meant to be an essential 24/7 tool for every citizen in every EU country
  • Facebook users (already people from 50 countries in the Personal EU group wanting the Personal EU Team Finder to be launched), LinkedIn users, ENoLL Living Labs end-users

Use-case / Käyttötilanne:

  1. A Facebook user is tired to get more and more "friends" without being able to do something really useful with them. Using the "Personal EU27 Team Finder" she/he finds by one click 26 other users - one with most similar challenge profile from each EU country - and can after common acceptance start an inspiring union-wide collaboration towards own and common challenges using Facebook and other team tools (eg 2, 3)
  2. A LinkedIn user gets more and more "professional friends" without being able to create meaningful daily collaboration on the essential "enlarged home country level", the EU level. Using the "Personal EU27 Team Finder" she/he finds 26 other users - one from each EU country - and can start an inspiring union-wide collaboration towards own and common challenges using LinkedIn and other team tools (eg 1, 3)
  3. A person interested in or already registered to www.enoll.org (European Network of Living Labs ENoLL, an union-wide network of ~ 100 networks, launched by the Finnish EU presidency 2006) wants to give more to and benefit more from the "union-wide and citizen-centric" business idea of ENoLL. Using the "Personal EU27 Team Finder" inside the portal she/he finds by one click 26 other users - one with most similar personal challenge profile from each EU country - and can after common acceptance start an inspiring union-wide collaboration towards own and common challenges by participating as team in suitable Living Labs and getting benefit from their successes.

Data / Tiedot:

I think that launching of the "Personal EU27 Team Finder" will start an union wide chain reaction among citizens in different roles (private persons, employees, managers, entrepreneurs, union-wide projects and organizations, member state parliaments and governments).

Various applications will quickly complete the "Finder" to different kinds of union-wide tools and services.

Adopting the original Personal EU concept to be "the way of doing" of the European Network of Living Labs could draw more and more EU citizens to the ENoLL projects and help them together step by step develop a perfect union-wide innovation system.

The needed key application is a "Personal EU27 Team Finder".

It allows all 500 million EU citizens personally to reach a new daily innovation level - and the European union to be the worlds most advanced innovation society.

Personal EU should be found directly from the top level of suomi.fi and europa.eu

Coordinating negotiations with Finnish public EU organizations would be the best opportunity to manage the development and continuity.

In the EU Commission Mr Bror Salmelin bror.salmelin@ec.europa.eu (adviser to the ENoLL) knows the Personal EU concept very well and could together with Mr. Lauri Tierala lauri.tierala@vnk.fi coordinate the next steps to a happy result between all essential parts (EU commission, ENoLL, Finnish government, Mindtrek partners and supporters, application developer(s) and my one-man corporation Oy Personal EU United Brains Ltd.)

The "Finder" or other described team applications do not exist yet.

The cost estimation of developing the "Finder" (for ENoLL, Facebook and LinkedIn) is ~20 000 €. The solution has already been discussed with a Finnish network application enterprise, whose staff operates in the U.S. and Poland.
