Roberto Galoppini, Commercial Open Source Expert (InitMarketing)
A computer industry insider of 15+ years standing, Roberto has worked in such hands-on roles as programmer and systems analyst as well as being involved at a strategic level in one of the first European Open Source firms consortia. He takes an active interest in several free/open source software organisations, including serving on the Sourceforge's Advisory Board and acting as the Institutional Relationship Manager for the OpenOffice.org Italian Association. He holds a degree in computer science and he is Secretary of IT professionists' Italian Federation. Since 2004 he researches on the economics of Open Source software, collaborating with universities and EC funded research projects. He is also a technical writer for IT and computer-related magazines.Elmar Geese (Tarent) Nina Helander (Tampere University of Technology) Nina Helander holds a PhD in Economics and Business Administration. She is Senior Researcher and Lecturer at The Department of Business Information Management and Logistics at Tampere University of Technology. Helander has publications on business networks, value creation, software business and open source. In her doctoral dissertation, Helander studied software business from the value-creating network perspective.Antti Holmroos (KuntaIT) Antti Jokipii CTO (Proactum Oy) An Open Source expert with over 10 years of experience of Open Source software design and development. Antti has worked as a chief architect and chief technological officer as well as been involved at a strategic level in one of the first Finish Open Source firms. Currently Antti works as a chief technological officer in Proactum Oy. Antti is a highly appreciated expert and consultant in ECM, portal and integration solutions and is a pioneer in J2EE architecture. Antti has exceptional knowledge of Alfresco and Liferay. Antti is also well known in the technology community in Finland and has a extensive global contact network of Open Source experts.Martin Michlmayr (HP) Martin Michlmayr has been involved in various free and open source software projects for well over 10 years. He acted as the leader of the Debian project for two years and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Open Source Initative (OSI). Martin works for HP as an Open Source Community Expert and acts as the community manager of FOSSBazaar. Martin holds Master degrees in Philosophy, Psychology and Software Engineering, and earned a PhD from the University of Cambridge.Miko Nieminen (Nomovok) Sampo Nurmentaus (Movial) With over 7 years of experience in design, implementation, project management and technical sales of embedded Linux solutions, Sampo Nurmentaus is now a Technical Sales Manager at Movial Creative Technologies. He is responsible for the worldwide sales of the company's open source solutions, consulting and user experience design services.Sampo Nurmentaus holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science from the Helsinki University of Technology. Ismael Olea (Strateqo Consortium) Ismael has been a free software activist since 1994. He has coordinated the Spanish Linux Documentation Project TLDP-ES (known as LuCAS) since 1998 to 2005 and he is a founding member of the Spanish Linux users association Hispalinux and the local groups Indalinux and Linux Madrid and has been deeply involved in the organization of the Hispalinux's congresses.In his work career he has been CTO of one of the very first commercial linux distributions in Spain, HispaFuentes Linux, and now manages their own consulting company, Planeta Olea SL, specialized on technology strategy and consultancy about free libre open source software, FLOSS, and the digital revolution. He is a member of the GNOME Foundation, the Foundation for a Free Information Infrastructure, the Instituto de Estudios Almerienses and is a visiting lecturer at the Instituto Superior de Estudios e Investigaciones Tecnolológicas, Caracas (Venezuela). For the last years is performing an intense activity on the development of the SOOS concept, «Standard Organizational Operating System» in the framework of an open digital revolution. He has given dozens of talks in Spain, France and Latin America.
